Emelie is passionate about combining her interests into the ways we connect with others and ourselves within her artistic practice - from producing her own photographic books to printing in the darkroom - her practice encompasses a strong aspect of leaving a physical trace. Whether that is by taking presence in her images or physically manipulating them, she is utilizing a wide array of technqiues to create a connection to personal experiences.
Ultimately using photography and the arts as a therapeutic outlet, she explores themes connected to the perception of the home and her identity shaped by her experiences living between Cologne and the UK over the past 6 years.

Aside from her artistic practice, she is interested in the technicalities and workings of the photographic and publishing industry, eager to continously improve her skills as a lighting assisstant.
